The 2nd Hungarian International Tournaments1. Name of EventThe 2nd Hungarian International Soft Tennis Tournaments 2. Organized by: Hungarian Soft Tennis Association / HSTA / 3. Nature of the event An official international event acknowledged by the International Soft Tennis Federation and the European Soft Tennis Association as well 4. Managed by: Hungarian International Tournaments Organization Committee / HITOC / 5. Term of the event: 17-21 August, 2006 Opening Ceremony: 18 August, 2006, 09:00 a.m. 6. Place: Budapest, Hungary 7. Competition Venue: GRAND SLAM PARK Address: 1111 Budapest, Kapolcs utca 2/a Courts: 5 outdoor clay courts 8. Accommodation: Hotels in Budapest (The details will be informed later.) 9. Kinds of the event: Individual doubles for men and women Individual singles for men and women Individual mixed doubles 10. Schedule of the event 17 August, 2006 (Thursday) arrival at Budapest, transfer to the Tennis courts, training for whole day 18 August, 2006 (Friday) Opening Ceremony Individual doubles for men and women 19 August, 2006 (Saturday) Individual singles for men and women 20 August, 2006 (Sunday) Individual mixed doubles Commendation Ceremony Banquet 21 August, 2006 (Monday) transfer to the airport departure at Budapest 11. Eligibility Participating players shall be those who have been approved by those respective national soft tennis federations which are invited to participate in the event. All ISTF member countries are invited to enter. 12. Entries for competitions shall be made for players recommended by the invited national federations and be applied by the respective national federation. There will be no any limit of number for players, And not even for the team leaders. Total entry fee shall be EUR200.- (or US$ equivalent to EUR200.-)/person for four days which covers accommodation, meals (at the places designated by HITOC) for four days. (The payment shall be made in cash. The payment by a credit card and/or traveler's checks are not acceptable.) Transportation between Budapest airport and the hotels (which will be informed later) and transportation between the hotels and the courts will be arranged by HITOC. Hungary as host country can enter an unlimited number of players. Acceptance or rejection of invitation shall be made no later than 30 April, 2006, which will be considered as a pre-entry. Entries by name of players shall be made before 15 June, 2006. Entries shall be accepted on the designated entry form with names, sex, the dates of birth, and others as required for the participating players. The entry form is attached with this Guide. The entry via fax shall also be acceptable. In the case of the entry of more than one / 1 / participant for the same one event from the same one national federation, the player's list for entry shall be arranged in the order of their ranking among them. Any change in the entry after the deadline date of entry shall not be accepted. 13. Rules and regulations for competitions Competition shall be conducted in accordance with the effective Rules of Soft Tennis of ISTF. The official language shall be English. A tournament system shall be applied for matches of doubles, singles, and mixed doubles. Double and mixed double matches shall be played by the best of nine games system and single matches shall be played by the best of seven game system. 14. Draw The draw shall be decided in a fair manner by the HITOC, considering the world ranking. 15. Conditions for participation Participating team members of respective countries shall fulfill the conditions of respective items as under mentioned. - Players shall abide by the rules and regulations of ISTF and behave based on sportsmanship and in an orderly manner. - Players shall observe directions of the host federation regarding their whereabouts and behaviors during the term of the event. In case of any of them need to behave otherwise than specified as above, the player shall be obliged to submit the detailed information, such as schedule, whereabouts and purpose of their travel or others, to the host federation and obtain it's permission in advance. - Uniforms, shoes and other attire to be used for competition shall be those made for Soft Tennis. - Rackets to be used for competitions shall conform to the specifications specified in the Rules of Soft Tennis of ISTF. - Commercial displays on players uniform are not limited. 16. Balls to be used shall be those produced by NAGASE KENKO. 17. The first, second and third place winners shall be commended by cups in the event. 18. All the competition officials shall be designated by HITOC. 19. World Ranking Point The World Ranking System shall be applicable to the events where the number of participants satisfied the conditions provided in the World Ranking System. In this regard, the applicable events shall be announced to the participants prior to the tournaments. 20.
