Guide to the 3rd CZECH SOFT TENNIS OPEN 2007 APRIL 26th till 29th1. Name of Event:3rd CZECH SOFT TENNIS OPEN 2. Organized by Czech Soft Tennis Union 3. Nature of Event An official international event acknowledged by the International Soft Tennis Federation and the European Soft Tennis Federation. 4. Managed by: Czech Soft Tennis Open organizing comittee (CSTOOC) 5. Term of event: April 26th till 29th, 2007 Opening Ceremony: April 27th, 2007 , 9:00 AM 6. Place: Havirov, Czech Republic 7. Competition Venue: TENNIS CLUB HAVIROV Address: Opletalova street, Havirov Courts: up to 9 outdoor clay courts 8. Accommodation: Pension TAREM, Hotel BORSICANKA the details will be specified with individual teams 9. Kinds of events: Individual doubles for men and women Individual singles for men and women Individual mixed doubles 10. Schedule of the event: April 26th (Thursday) arrival at Czech Republic the details will be specified with individual teams April 27th (Friday) opening ceremony individual doubles for men and women April 28th (Saturday) individual singles for men and women sightseeing April 29th (Sunday) individual mixed doubles commendation ceremony banquet April 30th (Monday) departure the details will be specified with individual teams 11. Eligibility Participating players shall be those who have been approved by those respective national soft tennis associations or federations which are invited to participate in the event and those invited by the host organization. All ISTF member countries are invited to enter. 12. Entry Entries for competitions shall be made for players recommended by the invited national associations or federations and be applied by the respective national associations or federation. There will be no any limit of number for players and not even for the team leaders. Total entry fee shall be EUR 200,‐ (or USD, JPY, HUF, SKK, PLN, etc. equivalent)/per person for four days which covers accommodation, meals and refreshments. The payments shall be made ONLY by cash. The acceptance or rejection of invitation shall be made not later than February 28th, 2007, which will be considered as an pre‐entry. The entries by name of players shall be made before April 12th. Entries shall be accepted on the designated entry form with names, sex, the dates of birth and others as required for the participating players. The entry form is attached to this guide. The entry by email or fax is acceptable. In case of the entry of more than one participant for the same one event from the same one national federation, the players´ list for the entry shall be arranged in the order of their ranking among them. Any change in the entry after the deadline date of entry shall not be accepted. 13. Rules and regulations for competitions Competition shall be conducted in accordance with the effective Rules of Soft Tennis of ISTF. the official language shall be English. A tournament system shall be applied for matches of doubles, singles and mixed doubles. Double and mixed double matches shall be played by the best of nine games system and single matches shall be played by the best of seven game system. 14. Draw The draw shall be decide by CSTOOC considering the european ranking and the interior team ranking. 15. Conditions for participation Participating team members of respective countries shall fulfill the conditions of respective items as under mentioned: 1. Players shall abide by the rules and regulations of ISTF and behave based on sportsmanship and in an orderly manner. 2. Players shall observe directions of the host federation regarding their whereabouts and behaviors during the term of the event. In case of any of them need to behave otherwise than specified as above, the player shall be obliged to submit the detailed information, such as schedule, whereabouts and purpose of their 3. travel or others, to the host federation and obtain it’s permission in advance. 4. Uniforms, shoes and other attire to be used for competition shall be those made for Soft Tennis. 5. Rackets to be used for competitions shall conform to the specifications specified in the Rules of Soft Tennis of ISTF. 6. Commercial displays on players uniform are not limited. 16. Balls Balls to be used shall be those produced by Nagase‐Kenko. 17. The first, second and third place winners shall be commended by cups in the event 18. All the competition officials shall be designated by CSTOOC. 19. Ranking Points The World Ranking System shall be applicable to the event/s where the number of participants satisfied the conditions provided in the World Ranking System. In this regard, the applicable event/s shall be announced to the participants prior to the tournaments. the European ranking system will be applicable to the events as the european 2nd class tournament for the european players. 20. Sponsors The official sponsors of the competitions shall be decided by Czech Soft Tennis Union.
