Minutes2007, Sept., 09Minutes Of The 20th General Assembly of International Soft Tennis Federation (ISTF) Time: 2:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. September 7, 2007 Place: The City Hall Anseong, Korea 1. Opening: The opening of the General Assembly meeting was called to order by Master of Ceremonies (MC) 2. Roll-Call: Taken by MC and the presence of thirty-nine (38) member countries/regions were confirmed. Member countries/regions: Brazil, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Czech, Dominican Republic, England, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, , Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippine, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, USA, Venezuela Observing countries: Austria, Belgium, Laos, Netherland, Peru, Poland, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan 3. Report of Quorum: 29 countries among 43 ISTF member countries are confirmed as present, and as such, it constitutes a quorum by clause 3, article 16 in accordance with the constitution of the ISTF. 4. Opening remark: President declared the 20th general assembly of the ISTF open. 5. OpeningAddress: Given by President, Mr. Park Sang-Ha 6. Welcoming Address: Given by Mayer of Anseong City, Mr. Lee, Dong Hee Minutes 7. Agenda: 7-1: Minutes of the 19th General Assembly in 2003 in Hiroshima, Japan: Distributed to the countries/regions present and confirmed by all participants. 7-2: Progress Report (2003-2007): The summarized report was delivered and briefed by Secretary General Mr. Nobuhiro Nishimura and approved by all participants. 7-3: Approval of admittance for new memberships: Nine (9) countries which had been given a tentative approval of admission were introduced and formed approval of their admission was given by a unanimous agreement. Name of New 9Membership Countries: Austria, Belgium, Laos, Netherland, Peru, Poland, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan 7-4: Venue for the Next (14th) World Championships in 2011: Four (4) counties stand for a candidate venue and there are some comments about the conditions. The final decision for the next venue should be made by president, vice president, and secretary general on judgments after confirming the each report submitted by candidate's countries. Names of the candidate's countries: U.S.A., China, Thailand, Czech Republic 7-5: Constitution of ISTF Anti-Doping Rules The constitution of ISTF Anti-Doping Rules was proposed by secretary general, Mr.Nobuhiro Nishimura and their rules were confirmed. 7-6: Implementation of the World Junior Soft Tennis championships: The purpose and an outline of the proposed activities, with its material delivered, were explained by Secretary General Mr. Nobuhiro Nishimura. The proposal was accepted by all participants. 7-7: Constitution of Rules for International Official Umpires The draft of rules was delivered, and that the rules for international official umpires were accepted by a unanimous agreement. 7-8: Election for New Officials of ISTF Two countries from the all participants recommended Mr. Park Sang-ha to be continued as President, and its recommendation was accepted by a unanimous agreement. New elected President, Mr. Park Sang-ha nominated Mr.Nobuhiro Nishimura (Japan) as first Vice-President and Mr. Li Youlin (China) as second vice President. Secretary General was undecided and the final assignment left on New President. Until decided the New Secretary General, the present Secretary General shall continue to do its duty. 8. Inaugural/Closing Address: Given by newly elected President Mr. Park Sang-Ha, 9. Closing: The Closing of the meeting: Declared by MC at 4:30 p.m. on September 7, 2007.
